Description

Does your church take part in an annual Mission trip to uplift and provide assistance to local families in need? Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County regularly hosts groups for weeklong commitments to help build affordable homes alongside our partner families. If you have a willingness to help, we'd love to have you. HFHNCC is currently building at two sites in Wilmington, DE and can host crews of up to 15 people at each site. Our local affiliate can arrange basic sleeping, showering arrangements as well kitchen facilities for preparing evening meals. Alternately, a number of hotels are nearby that groups can contract with directly. Lunch will be provided onsite each day. Water, snacks and coffee are also available onsite each day. For a weeklong volunteer missions each person is responsible for a $150 fee. To learn more call 302-652-0365, ext. 108 or email bporterrockwell@habitatncc.org.

Requirements

All skill levels and all denominations/faith groups welcome. Youth groups aged 16 and over can volunteer, but should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is great team building and faith-building opportunity for all ages and all church groups.
