National Black Alcoholism & Addictions Council Summary: The National Black Alcoholism and Addictions Council (NBAAC) is committed to increasing the availability and quality of prevention and treatment programs designed specifically for the black community. To this end, NBAAC sponsors the Black Alcoholism and Addictions Institute at Howard University, provides educational forums, provides technical assistance to service providers, develops culturally appropriate programs for children of black substance abusers, and promotes community awareness of drunk driving through Blacks Against Drunk Driving.
